Review: Silent Storm

Silent Storm Silent Storm by Vivian Arend
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

In this final installment of the trilogy, Laurin and Matt are tested in both their shaman healing powers and in their relationship. Just when it looked like smooth sailing, an air shifter from Laurin’s previous life shows up (cursed) on the deck of their boat. While healing the first few stages of the curse seems easy enough, the last step will require they physically joined… with this new guy.

This might have been foreshadowed a little bit in the last book during the fertility ritual, but I was still a little surprised that Laurin was forced to choose between her sheltered air shifter ways and the more accepted water shifter ways. The air shifter that shows up, however, has no trepidation about joining the two of them, especially if it cures him and gets him into Laurin’s pants (or lack thereof).

While there was a lot of steamy action, maybe I was a little burnt out on the story by book 3. I wish we got to see another settlement to learn a little bit more about their shifter worlds.
