Review: Reluctant

Reluctant Reluctant by Lauren Dane
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is a short story that is actually mentioned in Pack Enforcer. Layla and Sid are the troublesome couple that start what will probably be a long list of reluctant pairings in the series.

Layla is a member of the alpha's family but is determined to live her life independently. She's got a very strict plan and has been making some good progress. Not to be jammed into a straightlaced persona - she likes to indulge her wild side by hitting up clubs with her friend. At one such club, she meets Sid - the bad boy artist who is supposed to be a nice diversion. This one-night-stand pretty rapidly heads into mate territory when they get a good sniff of one another.

Layla, obviously, wants nothing to do with this change in plans. She's not willing to throw her life away just because her wolf half says so. Unfortunately, without the tribond and acceptance between mates, she's going to go mad. Who doesn't want a sexy artist chasing after you, though? There is a nice HEA here and you certainly don't have to read any of the other books to enjoy this one.
