Patrice is a woman with a bunch of secrets, but none of them can keep her from complaining to the local bear alpha about his rowdy crew. They did enough damage to her bar to make her throw caution to the wind and drive up for a surprise visit/threat. A little bit of her anger leaves her by the time she meets the sexy alpha, though. While their human sides might find lots of reasons why they should definitely not be mates, their animals have already become mates at first sight. Hunt has rules that he’s supposed to follow and examples he’s supposed to lead by. Patrice is supposed to be laying low and hiding her shifter status from the bad guys in town. Nothing, however, can stop their attraction.
Throw in some mortal danger and lots of sexual tension and you’ve got a super quick to read and entertaining story. We also got a nice intro to the “bad news bears” and their quirks. I’d imagine they could each get their own story (including Patrice’s handler) and I’d easily devour each one.
