Review: Shadow Allegiance

Shadow Allegiance
Shadow Allegiance by Lacy Yager

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I love these little yummy reads. They are perfectly paced with short, changing POV chapters filled with adorable YA-ish crushes and romance. Oh, and there's action. Lots and lots of action. But the witty banter and hilariously "real" dialogue was peppered in all the scenes (even while knee deep in blood and guts), making the book a wonderfully entertaining read.

This book primarily focuses on Rachel and Alex. I admit, I had to give myself a little crash course on what happened in the last book (there were a lot of books for me in between that one and this read), but once I did that, this book refused to be put down. While Rachel came across as a petulant teenager in the last book, she really revealed herself in this one. Alex also, came across as the quintessential baddie, but both he and Rachel are able to become so much more together.

If you're a fan of paranormal romance and love your action quick and filled with laugh-out-loud dialogue, this series is for you!
