Review: Blood Knot
Blood Knot by Tracy Cooper-Posey
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I’ve read other books by this author, but this one is really a different breed. There is some serious story development and character building going on that, while is present in the other books I’ve read, is given some more time to grow in this book. There is still the M/M/F, M/F/M dynamics and oodles of smut to entertain you, but it had a little something… extra.
This book follows Winter, a breed of her own in that she can control body chemistries. Totally unique, she doesn’t really have a support system. While working as a thief and con artist with Sebastian, they later discover that they’ve both been hiding themselves when Winter inadvertently cures Sebastian of his vampirism. After a bunch of drama, Winter ends up on her own, dealing with some inherited blood cravings and trying to fight off Nial, Sebastian’s ex-lover and maker who has suddenly turned up and started trying to seduce her.
This book is the first in a series and really shows some good promise of things to come. I’m eager to begin book 2 to continue this storyline!
