Review: Apocalypse: The Lords of Deliverance Compendium
Apocalypse: The Lords of Deliverance Compendium by Larissa Ione
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I'm not really a fan of these compendium style books, but the short story in it was what motivated me to read this one. The short story was a really nice bonus that gives insight into how Lilith seduced Yenrieth. We get to see some characters that ultimately get referenced in later Lords of Deliverance books. It's like a little gem that you, as an "insider" get to read because of your super fandom.
Lilith was obviously a sex demon, on a mission to seduce a sexy angel from the moment she sees him. Yenrieth is a conflicted (and kind of oblivious) angel who feels nothing wrong with having some casual sex with what he believes is just a very confident human woman.
The story was smutty and gave some insight, but wasn't anything really mind blowing. There's more mysteries than there are answers, but I know it's all heading somewhere spectacular.
