Review: Rogue Rider

Rogue Rider
Rogue Rider by Larissa Ione

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Things are really starting to fall into place, and this book was a really solid installment in the series. We get love and action and some really big reveals in this book.

The central story is about Reseph, who had all his memories taken from him when Reaver dumped him in a snowy field. Luckily, Jillian finds his frozen body and drags him back to her cabin in the middle of nowhere. All of the other big changes in the previous books (Aegis drama, DART formation, hellhound activity, the Horsemen's mystery father, Harvester sneakiness, and Reaver's missing memories) seem to all play a major role in this book. Yes, Jillian and Reseph's love story plays out in a pretty predictable way, but it was almost nice to have something easy to predict when everything else is falling apart.

To be honest, I predicted who their father ended up being before the previous book ended. There were some clues scattered throughout the books, which would make a re-read pretty fun. All of the other events came fast and furious and even though the "demon apocalypse" isn't on the horizon, I can see the setup happening for this other "biblical apocalypse." These books are fun and completely addictive. The blend of mind-blowing action and some hot paranormal romance (and smut) is perfect.
