Review: Fire
Fire by T.G. Ayer
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This book was filled with all sorts of gods and goddesses that I know nothing about – and it was a good surprise! It’s not often that a book deviates from my typical trifecta of vampire, werewolf, witch, but this book definitely did. The story revolves around Maya, who is thrust into a world where the gods and goddesses of the Hindu world are real and she’s tasked with defending them. She’s a normal teenager with some abnormal powers that include controlling fire – which is a truly awe-inspiring power to behold!
Watching Maya come into her powers was really entertaining. She didn’t take your typical path of the whiney teenager. Instead, she threw herself into training and her role as an awesome defender. The romance from this paranormal romance was a mix between high school love and adorable paranormal training partner love. I am eager to see where Nik and Maya’s romance heads in the next book! I’d like to see some more fiery passion (ha-ha) light up the pages.
If you’re at all interested in a deviation from your typical paranormal romance book, give this one a try!
