This was a really quick short story set in the Jessica McClain universe. It takes place immediately before Jessica leaves with her brand new identity.
I really love this author's writing style, so this story was a pleasure to read. It was jam packed with fighting style action -- enough to make me grit my teeth at the amount of damage Jessica takes. There was also a surprising amount of back story and character development thrown in.
This book would be a good place to start if you're at all interested in the Jessica McClain books, or as a bonus story for those of us already in love with the series.
