Review: Crimson Night

Crimson Night
Crimson Night by Marie Hall

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow -- what a fabulous new world! This book earned my rarely given 5 star rating because it is completely worth a re-read. The world that this author creates is rich and addictive. I couldn't put this book down from the moment I was introduced to this bunch of characters.

This book is about Pandora (don't worry, the names are worth the price of this awesome series), a nephilim who shares her soul with a demon of Lust. She's the rare nephilim with a conscience, who works a traveling carnival (not as cliche as it sounds) and is tasked with helping out the light side of things (even though she straddles the line into the dark a little bit). Things immediately take a turn into uncharted territory when a hunter of sorts discovers Pandora and threatens her way of life.

The story was filled with action, steamy scenes (lust demon), rich plot development (without cliffhangers), and really complex characters. The writing style was very easy and fun to read, complete with a new bunch of slang that made me feel even more immersed in the story. There was so much that was set up in this book that I just want to see more of this world. This author really has a great way of getting you addicted to her work -- I can't wait for book 2!
