Review: Love Bite

Love Bite Love Bite by Celia Kyle
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This very quick book had enough twists to cover a full-length novel! It takes a little bit of a darker spin on your typical paranormal romance.

Zoe is in a desperate situation. Her sexually harassing boss fired her suddenly, leaving her short on the rent and out for money in a hurry. With very few lucrative job options presenting themselves, a flyer for selling blood ends up leading her to a job interview for vampire blood donor. It seems easy enough, right? Just offer your wrist and make oodles of money. Things get a little more complicated when she ends up being claimed by the club's owner and sire of one jerky weird vampire that may or may not be stalking her as his side job.

The sizzle between Zoe and Arik makes the darkness that follows a little bit easier to swallow. Arik is pretty immediately forced to make a tough choice: his vampire child or his new mate? With some darkness in his own past, Arik plays the part of the reluctant hero perfectly and is able to step up to the plate to save the day.
