Family Bonds by Elise Lyons
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
Jaxson and Gavin are just two guys staying at an inn for a nice relaxing (not romantic) vacation. What they actually get is a vacation straight out of dracula. There are even pitchforks involved!
Jaxson is definitely more into the relaxation elements of this trip. Gavin, on the other hand, can't seem to stop moving. There are just too many unanswered questions - how can the girl working here carry their heavy bags without breaking a sweat? Why did he find her outside in the middle of the night with wounds on her throat? Are vampires real? Throw all of this and some confusing family relationships together and you've got a not-so-relaxing vacation.
This was a pretty quick read that definitely stands alone. While I wasn't particularly invested in any of the characters, it still had some original elements.
