Review: Penance

Penance Penance by Alisa Woods
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Admittedly, it took me a while to get to finishing this installment. Somewhere along the lines, this book got lost in the shuffle of my daily reading and just didn't end up back on my kindle until the end of the year. Happily, however, I really enjoyed this one! While this series is definitely darker than my typical read, this installment was all about love and sacrifice.

Jak has already said that he is willing to risk his life for Arianna, but this book puts his convictions to the test. Will he really give up his life just so she can be free of her alpha? We also get to meet Arianna's family, who seems equally as determined to have her freed from the evil jerk that stole her away in the first place. While, of course, this ends without complete resolution, there was a feeling of happiness I got from this book that I didn't get from the others. Now I really can't wait to see what happens next between these shifters and witches!
