Review: Cold Blooded

Cold Blooded
Cold Blooded by Amanda Carlson

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

These books are really fantastic reads! I’m completely addicted to this series and cannot wait to see where the story continues to take me. The book is jam packed with action, steamy romance, and oodles of paranormal intrigue. If any of those things interest you, this book series should not be missed.

This story picks up immediately where Book 2 left us. Jessica and her crew are teaming up with Tally to get Marcy back from the clutches of the sorcerers. Now an alpha of the weirdest possible group of paranormals, Jessica has a lot of juggling that needs to get done to make sure no alliances are broken and no one gets killed in the process. The pace is quick and the writing style is still perfect and polished. I absolutely love the new Ray and am still madly in love with Danny. The witty dialogue and sarcasm had me devouring this book.

This book also gave me something I’ve been dying to see since the first book – steamy scenes. After all the buildup, Rourke and Jessica finally get to connect in this book because they are able to travel in their “pack.” It was good to see all the characters throughout most of the book without any tradeoffs. I hope to see the backstory behind Marcy’s disappearance in the form of a short story or bonus feature. Other than that, I can’t imagine anything that would make this book better.
