Review: Tigress
Tigress by J.E. Taylor
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
As the second book in the Night Hawk series, the story picks up without missing a beat. I really wish I had stacked reading these books back to back so I wouldn't have struggled to remember the back stories from book 1. We meet up with Naomi and Damian 5 years later. Of course their happily ever after couldn't last, right?
The story is filled with action and drama that centers around a lot of angel lore with some interesting new twists. The writing style was super easy to read and understand, which led to a really quick read time for this book. The pacing in this book was better than that of the previous book, making it easier to get sucked in. I found myself rooting for Damian and Naomi along the way, too. Usually a headstrong and impulsive main character would've put me off, but something about the struggle in this book really endeared Naomi to me.
If you're looking for a quick supernatural read, this is the book for you.
