I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I really really really enjoyed this book! What more could I ask for? This book jumped right in with a shifter romance that sizzled! The way the story was told is one of my favorites – just give me what I need to know, when I need to know it, without a lot of time wasted in the beginning giving me facts. This was especially appreciated in this short book, where I just wanted it to take off running.
Stig (who I couldn’t stop associating with Top Gear) is a dragon shifter, which made me hesitant at first. How were they going to make a dragon sexy? Oh, but they did! He’s an ex-military immortal dragon who has oodles of baggage and the little sister of his dead friend crushing on him. Again, usually I don’t go for the rushed “I love you”’s and whatnot, but something about this book really sold it to me. I wish there were more books in this series out already because I want to dive right into another one!
I know there were a lot of exclamation marks in this review, but I guess this book just really surprised me. I went in with zero expectations and was pleasantly surprised (hence the !!!). I highly recommend this book if you’re at all into paranormal romances with a good amount of smut.
