Review: Revelry

Revelry
Revelry by Peta Crake

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was a dark paranormal romance, jam-packed with secrets and shifters! Revelry is on the run from her abusive ex-pack when she mistakenly settles in shifter central. She is introduced to a number of shifters, most importantly -- Connor. He's an "enforcer" who is on a month long break from enforcing, only to wander into some big time shifter drama. Revelry appears to attract drama and dangerous guys to her relatively easily, no matter how hard she tried to blend in.

I really enjoyed the push-pull relationship that begins to develop between Connor and Revelry. They are both damaged in their own way, but find a way to somehow survive. There were also a great number of supporting characters that grabbed my attention -- Tilly, Mac, etc. The world is rich and believable, even if there are a number of different shifters as residents. The last act has so much action that I sped to the end. This book did not lack excitement and surprises!

There are a few loose ends here and there, but overall, the story was a good read for those of you looking for some shifter action.
