Review: More
More by T.M. Franklin
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
What a surprising read! I was eager to dive into this book because the title and cover were telling I would like it. They weren't wrong. This book gave me paranormal without following any of the typical paranormal stories. This followed a girl in college (gasp -- not a high schooler?!) and gave us a world full of people with something "more." I loved the unique premise and the world that was created in this book.
Yes, there was action and some truly awesome moments of power (including a great tough chick). That was good and all, kept the pages moving. What I really enjoyed about this book, though, was the adorable relationship between Ava and Caleb. Sigh. Watching their rather unconventional relationship develop throughout the book was really great. Even with all the surprises that the book kept throwing at them, they were amazing to watch.
The book also did something I love, and it wrapped things up for this chapter nicely. We aren't left with a cliffhanger or some evil villain laughing. Instead, I feel like I can sleep tonight, knowing the characters aren't in immediate danger. I still want to dive into Book 2 and will probably bump it up my list immediately.
