Review: Night Unbound

Night Unbound
Night Unbound by Dianne Duvall

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Yowza! This book is HOT HOT HOT! I have hopped in and out of this series, getting the books as stand-alone reads here and there, but this one blows the others out of the water. Lisette and Zach light the pages on fire with their forbidden romance!

Lisette is a telepath, a warrior, and an Immortal Guardian. Zach is an "Other" who is suffering an eternity of pain in exchange for helping out. They are most definitely not supposed to have more than a passing interaction, but both of them are drawn to each other like magnets. Zach somehow manages to enter Lisette's dreams, and that's where the fireworks begin.

Their interactions and relationship as a whole made for a really great read. They are both quirky and fun, and it shows in their sometimes laugh-out-loud scenes. Yes, sure, there was an underlying story that revolves around finding betrayal in the Immortal Guardians, but this story is really about Lisette and Zach. This forbidden love affair had me glued to the book and I still want more. These two are by far my favorite pair of the series (so far).
