Review: Desired by the Deep

Desired by the Deep
Desired by the Deep by Lyra Fawn

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was, again, something completely different. This serial is set in a unique world where dolphin shifters and shark shifters (who both have much prettier names than that) are at war both on land and in the sea. To help give them a more harmonious life and unite the clans of dolphin shifters, the two princes (Dario and Lucan) have been scouring the globe for a "descendant" that was written about in an ancient prophecy.

Mona turns out to be that lucky woman, but at the end of the last book we saw the princes fighting more than uniting. She's willing to attempt to have them both, if they can only get over their pigheadedness. Many jealous dolphin shifters abound in this one. For a species that says they often share one another, there is an awful lot of girl (and guy) drama. Lucky for us, there is also a lot of growth and understanding from the guys in this one that gives us some pretty hot scenes at the end of the book.

The very end also gives a nice taste of what could be in store for future installments. Unfortunately, it looks like the author might not continue (?). Overall, this was definitely a change from your normal shifter books.
