Review: Sex and the Single Vamp
Sex and the Single Vamp by Robin Covington
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
It gets 4 stars for sizzle and 3 stars for story, which gives it an average of 3.5 stars in my book.
Cici was thrown into the world of being a vampire without much guidance and no known "maker." After years of finding her way and generally hiding from the public, now that vampires are "out" she is running a dating service for paranormals and humans who want to mingle. This, not surprisingly, is not necessarily a popular opinion among paranormals and humans alike. Enter Deacon, one of her loudest protesters. He's hot, rich, and has been in her life since before she was a vampire. When the two are in the same room, they sizzle and spark. The chemistry is insane! That being said, I couldn't care less that he essentially blackmails her into his bed -- as long as they end up there!
Deacon is hiding a huge secret (or multiple secrets along the way) and that hovers over their budding relationship's head until circumstances (and baddies) force the issue. This paranormal world was quirky and unique -- and I hope to read much more from this author! If you're looking for a paranormal romance with some hot hot hot scenes, check this book out.
