Review: Fox Yearning 1
Fox Yearning 1 by April Hanna
My rating: 3 of 5 stars
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
While we don't get a lot of information in this first installment, this short story was an enjoyably paranormal and hot read. It definitely made me interested in learning more about these characters and where they're headed. I wish there was just slightly more story in there.
This story follows Lia, some sort of fox related paranormal type person. She's maybe a combination of a shifter and an incubus, but it's really not that clear yet. She's sent on the town for her first kill, which somehow involves seducing a man and giving him a kiss of death. At the bar, she meets Alec, your super rich and powerful business man/scientist/hottie. I guess this bar is one of those "anything goes" places, because an awful lot of their seduction game (and hookup) happens in that setting. Struck by her conscience and some really quickly developing feelings for Alex, Lia is unable to go through with her killing. I honestly have no idea what will happen in the next installment, and I'm curious to see. I always enjoy a sizzling paranormal read.
