This book was a fun, quirky, and unexpected read that was filled with romance and action. The world the author created is filled with a blend of Greek mythology, vampires, werewolves, and some very realistic human beings.

Delicia is a food columnist on a working vacation with her friend Grace in Florida. Grace has already fallen in with a guy, who just so happens to be a vampire. His vampire buddy, Erastus, takes one look at Delicia and knows he must have her in his life. Lucky for Delicia, she's been previously exposed to the supernatural and is no pushover. To make matters worse for Erastus, Delicia's boss comes from a line of ancient supernatural hunters. Even against all these odds, he sets out to woo the object of his affections, through ghoul attacks and the emergence of an ancient evil.

Delicia fights tooth and nail, when all the while her subconscious was drawing them closer and closer. The romance was all about the HEA, with kisses and fade-to-blacks, and filled with vampire goodness. There were oodles of good character introductions that I hope we get more of in the future installments. This book was an excellent start to a neat new supernatural world. It pays to check out new authors!
