Review: Love at Stake

Love at StakeLove at Stake by Victoria Davies
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was cute and fun, filled with paranormal romance and some serious heat. The main character was tough and strong, able to stand up to even the big bad vampire that was determined to prove her wrong.

Abbey is a human working in a paranormal matchmaking organization. In a world where everyone is looking for their fated match, Abbey's job utilizes a computer system and some science to aid in matching potential mates. When she somehow gets tasked with recruiting the vampire daughter of the oldest vampire on the East Coast, Abbey is determined not to leave without signing someone up. Unfortunately, Lucian, the aforementioned vampire, decides that Abbey's company must find him *his* match before allowing his daughter to sign up.

What starts as a bet eventually escalates into some explosive chemistry between Abbey and Lucian. Their reluctant romance was fun to watch. Lucian's very orderly world clashes with Abbey's colorful and chaotic one in a fabulous way. I would love to see this turn into a series or collection of books in this really fun and paranormal rich world.
