Expectations by Kelley Armstrong

This story showed the younger Lucas trying to show how big and bad he can be. When confronted with the opportunity to get out in the field, he jumps at the chance, trying to stand up to the big bad - Eve Levine. He has a rather humbling experience, that he mentions further in the series. A very quick read to fill in some backstory gaps for Lucas.
