This book was a quick and sexy read, filled with vampires and fated mates.
Mara is headed to her parent's house in a snowstorm when her car runs off the road. Connor, a reclusive vampire, discovers her on his doorstep, injured and running from wolves. The two have instant chemistry and attraction that began years before at Mara's sister's wedding. They shared a hot dance only to spend years apart. Fate, luckily, had other plans for the two of them. Not only are they drawn to one another, they also share the same humor, love of board games, and are willing to take a chance.
After a steamy week together, Connor's secrets and the decree from his family (that he not date any more humans, and find an immortal to marry) weigh on Connor enough that things don't look good for the couple. Luckily Mara is a lot more understanding than expected and we get a solid HEA.
