Review: Beloved Enemy: a young adult paranormal romance

Beloved Enemy: a young adult paranormal romance
Beloved Enemy: a young adult paranormal romance by Lacy Yager

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The Unholy Alliance series continues with the story of Chad and Genevieve. Chad is one of Alex’s vampires from the Alex/Rachel storyline while Genevieve is the kidnapped MIT prodigy that Maggie and crew were helping to have study the Cats. Unlikely pair? Just like all the others, this one smashed these two characters together until I was rooting for their reluctant romance.

Chad is an almost 100 year old vampire with a chip on his should (or in his knee) who, during one of Genevieve’s failed escape attempts, gets saddled with “babysitting” duty. Genevieve is finally exposed to what she was originally kidnapped to study. The scientist and fighter somehow find some common ground that blossoms into yummy YA romance.

These books are quick and fun reads that are all ultimately pushing the bigger plotline. If you’re looking for a YA paranormal romance that will make you smile, laugh, and sit on the edge of your seat through the action of it all, this series is for you.
