Review: Callum

Callum
Callum by Melissa Schroeder

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This book was the start of a really interesting new series. I liked the sizzle, story, and characters from start to finish.

The story revolves around a family of cursed Scots who are desperate to decipher an artifact that may be the key to their salvation. Callum, the unofficial head of the family (and their lucrative business), hires a genius in her field, Phoebe, who turns out to be more than he bargained for. Callum is a control freak that appears to only have one weakness -- Phoebe. She brings out the alpha male in him, and it was great fun to watch. There is a good deal of mystery and action that had me quickly turning pages to see where everyone ended up.

This was clearly the start to an entertaining and interesting new series. I can't wait to see what the author has lined up next!
