Review: Saving His Mate

Saving His Mate
Saving His Mate by Savannah Stuart

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Rex is a bounty hunter vampire who might actually be looking to put down roots somewhere. Margery is a werewolf baker who is determined not to by tied down. Rex is determined to break through Margery's tough shell if its the last thing he does.

I've read one of the other crescent series books, but I don't think it's really necessary to read any of the others to enjoy this one. It's a short read that has a bit of kidnapping action, lots of sizzling attraction, meddling friends, and some smutty goodness. Rex and Margery's reluctant romance was fun to read.

It was nice to see a pretty straightforward romance without your typical miscommunication phase, followed by making up, followed by HEA. Instead, we get some flirting, some courting, some kidnapping, then some bedroom time. There's a fun epilogue that gives us a HEA that made me smile. These books are fun, quick, and worthwhile reads for any paranormal romance fan.
