Review: Eden's Fire

Eden's Fire
Eden's Fire by Samantha Holt

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This was a very quick, short look at an alternative realm paranormal romance. It had a very medieval period feel to it, but was set firmly in another "realm."

Eden is a loner, previously widowed woman who has been dubbed a witch by the townspeople. The ruler of the land has sent the world into an evil spiral, leaving many to die, unsavable by the gods. These gods are not like any I've encountered in other books. They have rules about only randomly visiting a person once or they will be punished in some unnamed way. Ty answers Eden's plea for fire one night (he's a fire god) and finds himself smitten. Since she ends up being even more important than just Ty's love interest, thing really work out in their favor (until they don't).

All in all, it was a quick and entertaining read with little bits of the beginning of a good universe.
