Review: To Love a King

To Love a King
To Love a King by Shona Husk

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This last (?) installment of the Court of Annwyn certainly tied all the previous stories together. Finally, we get to see Felan’s beloved and watch him flounder his way through a courtship. The stakes are all high and the world is falling apart around them. This book was filled with tension and tough choices for all the characters.

Jacquie and Felan had a wonderful romance 7 years ago, but to Felan it feels like only a few months have passed. Their relationship ended suddenly and with a lot of drama. Jacquie was pregnant with his child, but the pregnancy ended suddenly while Felan was in Annwyn. Stunned, confused, and devastated, the couple split with many misunderstandings. In an effort to either find closure or rekindle his romance, Felan sets out to have a long overdue conversation with the love of his life. All while he is trying to reconnect with her, tons of plans are hatching around him concerning Sulia’s bid for the throne.

It was nice to have our own closure as far as Annwyn is concerned. There is HEA for almost everyone and a lot of the bad guys we’ve had to deal with finally get their punishment. While completely tension filled and action packed, this book was still a nice little romance with a fairy twist.
