Another short read in the Grayslake universe – this one gives us a look at the bear shifter population. Combine fated mates with family secrets and you’ve got a really great read.

Lira has broken up with her boyfriend after finding him cheating but he just won’t quit. When he tries to confront her at a bar, a mysterious hottie steps in to save her with a kiss. That kiss turns into something so much more when, after a steamy one-night-stand, she can’t seem to stop thinking about him. Jake, the one-night stand, had no intention of ever letting her go. When he first caught her scent, he knew she was “the one.” Unfortunately, Lira managed to sneak out while he slept and his family obligations appear to be intent on slowing down his chase.

This story really had more than you would expect from a short read. There are a handful of interesting characters that all kept me guessing. Oh, and there’s also the positively sizzling chemistry these two have that kept me quickly turning pages and hoping for a nice HEA. This book delivers everything you want in a fated mates read, and more!
